  Not happy with Kennedy Realty, Inc. I recently posted a waterfront rental apartment on Craigslist. Shortly after posting the apartment I received a phone call from Kennedy Realty asking permission to show it. I still can't figure out how they obtained my cell phone number, since it wasn't posted on the Craigslist site.. Yesterday, I discovered that Kennedy Realty apparently copied my posted apartment description & photos and created their own Craigslist post advertising my apartment under Kennedy Realty, listing Anthony as the person of contact and posting a contact number returning to Kelly Kennedy's business number. This was all done without my knowledge or consent. They almost got away with the scam after showing the apartment to a very interested party. Fortunately, the interested party and I exchanged phone numbers and realized what was happening. Craigslist must have picked up on the scam because they flagged and shut down the unauthorized posting. Now I know why I wasn't getting responses to my Craigslist posting. The unauthorized posting was posted 13 days ago. It's a very sad commentary when a Real Estate goes to these extremes for a commission. As proof, I have a printout of their posting and plan to report them to the proper authorities. From what I have learned, this is not the first time they have scammed people posting real estate ads on Craigslist. I plan to first contact the Long Island Board of Realtors (LIBOR) and file an official complaint against this Real Estate. There's no doubt their actions have cost me a considerable loss of money. Thank goodness I was able to catch it when I did. I shudder to think of how many people they have scammed using this method.

  Tony (rude and unprofessional), said he would call me back. Never did and when I called to follow up, he lied and said he called and I never answered. He then said I was rude because I disputed whether he returned my call. Why would I call to follow up if I was just going to be "rude" and ultimately not do business there anyway. That would be a waste of my time. I am just looking for an apt, not a fight. Shame on Tony!
